Besides the noodles and dessert that we savoured in Taipei, Jiu Fen, we have explored some other foods as well. We have checked out some local delights. Check out the story below.
BBQ & Fried Smelly Bean Curd Stall. 1 set selling @ 25 bucks which is about 2.50 SGD. Bean curds are served by BBQ or frying. The bean curd has a very strong pungent smell. Frying it in hot oil and adding their spicy chilli sauce helps to you ease the smell and i find it tastes very hot, crispy and spicy with the bean curd in my mouth. The vendor is cutting the bean curd to smaller pieces to serve us. We order the fried ones to try. My partner is not too keen to try them. The smell kinda of strong for her.
A closer look at the bean curds being BBQ and the sauces are at the bottom of this picture. The chilli rocks and matches the taste of the bean curd. Some raw bean curds at the top of the picture. The bean curds are covered with BBQ sauce as you can see it the picture. This snack is not for the weak hearted. The smell is very strong. You can't miss it when you are there. haha.. Stay tuned for more on Taipei.
